Vibration dampers of the GV type

Vibration dampers of the GV type are designed for installation on conductors, ground wires, and self-supporting optical communication cables of power transmission lines with voltages ranging from 35 kV to 750 kV. Their primary function is to prevent fatigue failures caused by vibration. They are manufactured according to TU 3449-001-52819896-2010.

Technical Specifications:

  • Mass of applied weights: 0.8 kg; 1.6 kg; 2.4 kg; 3.2 kg; 4.0 kg.
  • Linear dimension B (reference value): 100 mm; 128 mm; 150 mm; 160 mm; 168 mm.
  • Diameter of damper cable d: 9.1 mm; 11.0 mm; 13.0 mm.
  • Nominal length of vibration damper L: 300 mm; 350 mm; 400 mm; 450 mm; 500 mm; 550 mm; 600 mm; 650 mm.
  • Clamp number indicating the seating diameter of the conductor D, sizes H and L1:
    • Clamp number: 10–13; 16–20; 23–31; 23–35.
    • Diameter D: 9.0–14.0 mm; 14.5–20.0 mm; 20.1–32.0 mm; 20.1–35.0 mm.
    • H: 50.0 mm; 65.5 mm; 85.0 mm; 85.0 mm.
    • L1: 45.0 mm; 45.0 mm; 50.0 mm; 50.0 mm.

The mass of the vibration dampers depends on the mass of the weights, the length of the cable (L), and the clamp number. For example, with a weight mass of 0.8 kg, the damper mass ranges from 2.07 kg to 2.15 kg; with a weight mass of 4.0 kg, it ranges from 8.34 kg to 8.68 kg.

These vibration dampers provide effective protection for conductors and cables from damage caused by vibrational loads, extending their service life and enhancing the reliability of power transmission lines.
