Pneumatic Inertialess Vibration Dampers Type GVPB

Pneumatic inertialess vibration dampers of the GVPB type are designed for installation on conductors, ground wires, and self-supporting optical communication cables of power transmission and communication lines. Their primary function is to protect against wind-induced vibration. Manufactured according to TU 3449-005-52819896-2018.

Design and Features

These dampers are developed based on a newly applied physical principle of vibration damping, utilizing viscous friction.

Advantages:

  • Wide Frequency Range: Provide effective protection over a frequency range exceeding the best resonance dampers by 20–30%.
  • Versatility: Almost the entire range of used conductors and ground wires can be protected with two sizes of pneumatic vibration dampers, maintaining high dissipation power across the entire operating frequency range.
  • Increased Span Length: Allow installation of a single vibration damper on spans increased by at least 25% compared to resonance dampers.
  • Enhanced Sensitivity: More sensitive to low-amplitude oscillations compared to resonance counterparts.
  • Materials: The damper body is made of plastic, and the clamp is made of aluminum alloy.
