Polymer bushing insulators
Polymer bushing insulators are designed for conducting and connecting live elements in electrical apparatuses and distribution devices of power plants and substations with an alternating nominal voltage of 10 kV and a frequency up to 100 Hz. The climatic design of the external part of the insulators is UHL, placement category 1 according to GOST 15150. The upper ambient air temperature should not exceed +65 °C when installed in complete distribution devices and +80 °C when installed in enclosed bus ducts. The lower ambient air temperature is -55 °C. The insulators are intended for operation at altitudes not exceeding 1000 meters above sea level.
The insulator's designation includes the following elements:
- I — insulator.
- P — bushing.
- P — polymer.
- 10 — nominal voltage, kV.
- 630 or 2000 — nominal current, A.
- 7.5, 8, or 12.5 — minimum bending breaking strength, kN.
- A or B — flange modification: A — oval; B — square.
- UHL1 — climatic design according to GOST 15150.
Example of designation: IPP-10-630-8-A UHL1 TU 3493-019-21639232-2010 — polymer bushing insulator with a nominal voltage of 10 kV and a nominal current of 630 A, with a minimum bending breaking strength of 8 kN, with an oval flange modification, intended for climatic design UHL, placement category 1 for the external part of the insulator.
