Polymer bus supports
Polymer bus supports are designed for securing live busbars in distribution devices of power plants and substations for alternating current with voltages ranging from 10 to 220 kV and frequencies up to 100 Hz. They correspond to climatic design UHL, placement category 1 according to GOST 15150, and are intended for operation at ambient temperatures from -60 °C to +55 °C at altitudes not exceeding 1000 m above sea level.
The support's construction includes a fiberglass rod providing mechanical strength and a protective sheath made of silicone rubber, which shields the rod from atmospheric effects and increases the leakage path length. Metal end fittings ensure the connection of the support with live parts and mounting elements.
Supports are classified by the following parameters:
- Design type: polymer bus support (OShP).
- Protective coating material: silicone rubber (K).
- Nominal voltage: from 10 to 220 kV.
- Number of conductors or busbars: 1 or 2.
- Clamp type: for conductor, busbar, or tube.
- Diameter or dimensions of the clamped element: for conductor — diameter range; for busbar — thickness and width; for tube — diameter.
- Modification of structural height and flange connection dimensions: denoted by letters and numbers.
- Pollution level: from 1 to 4 according to PUE, 7th edition, ch. 1.9, STO 56947007-29.240.068-2011.
- Climatic design: UHL, placement category 1.
Example of designation: OShP-2PB-110-B09-2 UHL1, where:
- OShP — polymer bus support.
- 2 — number of conductors.
- PB — clamp type for conductor with diameter from 15.2 mm to 24.5 mm.
- 110 — nominal voltage in kV.
- B09 — modification of structural height and flange connection dimensions.
- 2 — pollution level.
- UHL1 — climatic design UHL, placement category 1.
