VGP-220M

SF6 Column Circuit Breakers VGP-220, VGP-220M

The VGP-220M series circuit breakers are designed for switching electrical circuits during normal and emergency conditions, as well as for operating in automatic reclosing cycles in 50 Hz three-phase AC networks with a nominal voltage of 220 kV. These breakers consist of three poles with arc-quenching chambers in porcelain insulators, mounted on a galvanized frame, and each pole is equipped with its own spring mechanism for synchronous switching.

Since 2014, "Electroapparat" has been producing these breakers with a breaking current of 40 kA. First installed at the 220 kV Kafta substation, they help distribute electricity to Crimea via underwater cables. The VGP-220M features a PPRA(U)-4000 spring mechanism, RPH series synchronous switching devices, switching resource meters, and a CB Watch self-diagnosis system. The design ensures reliability, technical efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery and commissioning.
