Tension Nodes Type UN.P
Tension nodes of type UN.P are designed for bilateral anchoring of self-supporting optical cable (OPGW), including "8" type cables, to poles of urban and distribution power lines. The nodes are installed on reinforced concrete pole shafts with dimensions ranging from 185 to 245 mm.
Construction and Mounting Options:
- Hook Mounting: recommended for suspending OPGW or "8" type cables using wedge clamps. In this case, the use of hangers or intermediate links is not provided.
- Hole Mounting: recommended when using spiral clamps for securing OPGW.
- Mounting OPGW in Spiral Clamps "by Hooks" with Additional Intermediate Links: this method is less reliable and is not recommended for critical sections of the FOCL-OL route, as well as in climatic regions with increased ice and wind loads.
Technical Specifications:
- UN.P(1): breaking load 5 kN; weight 3.7 kg.
- UN.P(2): breaking load 5 kN; weight 4.3 kg.
Note: it is possible to manufacture nodes for shafts with dimensions different from those specified. In this case, the order should specify: UN.P - L x L*, where L is the overall dimension of the shaft at the point of attachment of the tension crossarm, mm; L* is the overall dimension of the shaft on the side of the pin, mm.
