Pin-Type Glass Insulators (ShS ED Type)

ShS 20ED

The ShS 20ED pin-type glass insulator is designed for securing and insulating uninsulated and insulated conductors of the SIP-3 type on overhead power lines and in distribution devices of power plants and substations of alternating current with voltages up to 20 kV and frequencies up to 100 Hz, operating in ambient temperatures ranging from -60 to +50 °C. The conductor can be fixed in the groove or on the neck of the insulator. The insulator complies with the requirements of TU 3493-010-99267582-2015 and GOST 1232.

Advantages:

Unlike traditional pin-type insulators of the ShS type, the ShS 20ED insulator features a double-wing shape, which increases the creepage distance. This makes it recommended for use in areas with high pollution levels and increased lightning activity. The insulator is mounted using a collet sleeve made of UV-resistant composite material, which prevents the degradation of "K" or "KP" type caps under UV exposure.
