Pin-Type Glass Insulators (ShS ED Type)

ShS 10ED

The pin-type glass insulator ShS 10ED is designed for securing and insulating uninsulated and insulated conductors of the SIP-3 type on overhead power lines and in distribution devices of power plants and substations with alternating current voltage up to 10 kV and frequency up to 100 Hz, operating in ambient temperatures from -60 °C to +50 °C. The conductor can be fixed in the groove or on the neck of the insulator. The insulator is manufactured according to TU 3493-010-99267582-2015 and complies with GOST 1232.

Advantages:

Unlike traditional pin-type insulators of the ShS type, the ShS 10ED insulator has a double-wing shape, providing an increased leakage path length. This makes it recommended for use in areas with high pollution levels and increased lightning activity. The insulator is mounted using a collet sleeve located inside the insulator, which is installed on the cross-arm pin with a standard cap of type "K" or "KP". The sleeve is made of UV-resistant composite material, preventing the caps from degradation under UV exposure.
