High-reliability suspension line insulators, type LK-ID

LK 70/220-ID

The LK 70/220-ID type solid-core polymer suspension line insulators are designed for securing and insulating conductors of overhead power transmission lines and switchgear of power plants and substations operating with alternating current at 220 kV and frequencies up to 100 Hz. They are suitable for use in ambient temperatures ranging from -60 to +50 °C and comply with the climatic version and placement category UHL 1 according to GOST 15150. These insulators are manufactured in accordance with TU 3494-016-82442590-2011 and meet the standards of GOST 28856, GOST R 55189, and IEC 61109.

Key technical specifications of the LK 70/220-ID insulators include:

  • Rated mechanical breaking load: 70 kN.
  • Rated voltage: 220 kV.
  • Overall height: from 2235 to 2535 mm, depending on the model.
  • Insulation height: from 2030 to 2330 mm.
  • Leakage distance: from 5060 to 7670 mm.
  • Withstand voltage of full lightning impulse: from 1150 to 1300 kV.
  • Power frequency withstand voltage in dry conditions: from 700 to 760 kV.
  • Power frequency withstand voltage under rain: from 670 to 730 kV.
  • Power frequency flashover voltage in polluted and wet conditions: not less than 220 kV.
  • Test specific surface conductivity of pollution layer: from 10 to 30 μS/cm.
  • Permissible pollution degree according to GOST 9920: from II to IV.

The weight of the insulators ranges from 6.0 to 7.7 kg, depending on the model. They are available with various combinations of end fittings: "clevis-tongue" (SP), "clevis-clevis" (SS), "socket-tongue" (GP), and "socket-clevis" (GS).
