Lighting Supports and Technical Means for Road Traffic Management

Frame metal supports

Frame metal supports (RMP) are U-shaped structures designed for installation above the roadway of highways. They are used to mount traffic lights, road signs, information boards, billboards, cameras, and other equipment, ensuring their reliable placement and visibility for road users.

Classification of RMP:

  1. By design:
    • Serviced (ORMP): equipped with platforms and ladders for maintenance of installed equipment.
    • Unserviced (RMP): lack special maintenance devices, used for equipment that does not require regular inspection.
  2. By span width:
    • Small spans: up to 15 meters.
    • Medium spans: from 15 to 30 meters.
    • Large spans: over 30 meters.

Technical Specifications:

  • Height above the roadway: standardly 6.6 meters, providing sufficient clearance for vehicles.
  • Span width: can reach up to 44 meters, depending on road width and project requirements.
  • Material: high-quality steel with anti-corrosion protection using hot-dip galvanizing according to GOST 9.307-89, ensuring durability.
  • Structure weight: varies depending on size and type, usually between 2.8 to 8 tons.

Advantages of Using RMP:

  • Versatility: allows installation of various equipment for traffic management.
  • Durability: high resistance to environmental influences due to quality anti-corrosion protection.
  • Safety: ensures reliable mounting of equipment, enhancing road traffic safety.
