TF-20P Insulator
The TF-20P insulator is a low-voltage pin-type polymer insulator designed for insulating and securing wires of overhead power lines with a voltage of 0.4 kV and a frequency up to 100 Hz. It is also used in communication lines and wired radio broadcasting networks.
Key Technical Specifications:
- Nominal voltage: 0.4 kV
- Rated mechanical bending strength: at least 8.0 kN
- Withstand voltage at 50 Hz in dry conditions: at least 24.0 kV
- Withstand voltage at 50 Hz under rain: at least 8.0 kV
- Breakdown voltage in insulating medium: at least 46 kV
- Insulation resistance: at least 5×10⁴ MΩ
- Insulator height: 54.5 mm
- Creepage distance: at least 118.0 mm
- Weight: 0.07±0.01 kg
Advantages of the TF-20P Insulator Compared to the Porcelain TF-20:
- Reduced weight: 70 grams versus 500 grams for the porcelain insulator, facilitating transportation and installation.
- Impact resistance: resistance to mechanical damage eliminates breakage and damage during storage, transportation, and installation.
- UV resistance: maintains operational properties throughout its service life.
- Versatile transportation: allows the use of various packaging, from boxes to bags, simplifying and reducing logistics costs.
The TF-20P insulator is installed on a standard pin or hook using K-5 polymer caps, similar to porcelain or glass low-voltage TF-20 insulators.
