Power Cables for Voltage 6–35 kV

Power cable APvV, PvV

Power cables of the AПвВ and ПвВ brands are designed for the transmission and distribution of electrical energy in stationary installations with a nominal alternating voltage of 6, 10, 15, 20, and 35 kV at a frequency of 50 Hz, in networks with grounded and isolated neutrals.

Structural features:

  1. Conductor: round, multi-wire compacted, made of aluminum (AПвВ) or copper (ПвВ) with a cross-section ranging from 35 to 1000 sq.mm.
  2. Insulation: made of peroxide-crosslinked polyethylene (XLPE).
  3. Insulation screen: a semiconducting layer applied over the insulation.
  4. Copper wire screen: with a cross-section of at least 16 sq.mm for cables with conductor cross-sections of 35–120 sq.mm; at least 25 sq.mm for cross-sections of 150–300 sq.mm; at least 35 sq.mm for cross-sections above 300 sq.mm.
  5. Sheath: for cables with the "П" index — made of polyethylene; for "В" — made of polyvinyl chloride plasticate (PVC).

Application:

The cables are intended for laying in the ground (in trenches) regardless of the soil's corrosive activity, provided they are protected from mechanical damage.

Fire hazard class:

According to GOST 31565-2012, the cables belong to class 02.8.2.5.4.
