Environmental protection, particularly air quality, is a significant concern. Electrostatic precipitators (ESPs) are highly effective at controlling emissions from power plants, cement, chemical, and metallurgical factories, as well as pulp and paper mills. ESPs also collect valuable substances from exhaust gases.

High-voltage, single-phase oil-cooled diode converter units of the OPMD series supply high-voltage DC for ESPs, automatically regulating their operation. These units connect to two phases of a three-phase network and include a high-voltage rectifier, connector with a safety system, and the MEFIS-03 microprocessor controller.
